Golden Eyed Wolf

Nature Gods, supernatural beings in the old sense, are destined or cursed to live 500 years, then die to rebirth. Some guide the human race, some avoid it, some play games with humans as eternity is boring. As humanity fills earth, destroying nature, causing mass extinction, global warming, and massive pollution, the gods are coming together in their want to cull humanity to a manageable number, say, a million or less.

The three Spirit Gods are on the side of life and wish to save humanity as the unique species it is, intelligent, industries, albeit misguided through false religions, greed, and ignorance. These three spirit gods take every opportunity to thwart nature gods effort in culling humans, foremost the Firebird, Storms, Rat, and Vulture god of death, but they are losing. It is time for fresh blood, replacement Spirit Gods.

Yet, it is clear that humanity will cause its own extinction, utter polluting of earth, creating a dystopian existence in underground and a few sky-cities. Would it not be better to allow the firebird his Third Great War, the allow the Rat God to release the Black-Flu-Plague or the Vulture God continue crating mass deaths if humans will eventually do it themselves. Is it not better to preserve Earth and cull most humans?

At the point of no return, two eternal souls volunteer to become the new Spirit God of Souls and life Force and the Druid, God of Flora. They will continue the fight against the increasing number of gods turning against humanity to save their only eternal home. Is it right to prevent them? Should the spirit gods not prolong the inevitable. Eventually, there will be great suffering, one way or another, or will there? It all starts with a country bumpkin and a dying teenager desperately trying to find the Golden Eyed Wolf (god).
